And now, Seattle Opera is taking its Ring out to the world in the form of an audio recording of its 2013 production, released appropriately by a relatively small label, Avie. TeenTix members who wish to attend a Sunday performance may call to purchase tickets on the prior Saturday.Wagner: Der Ring des Nibelungen: Alwyn Mellor, Margaret Jane Wray, Wendy Bryn Harmer (sopranos) Stephanie Blythe (mezzo-soprano) Stefan Vinke, Stuart Skelton, Dennis Petersen, Mark Schowalter (tenors) Richard Paul Fink, Markus Brück (baritones) Daniel Sumegi (bass-baritone) Andrea Silvestrelli (bass) Seattle Symphony Orchestra and Seattle Opera Chorus, Asher Fisch (conductor).ĭIGITAL REVIEW - Against all odds, a relatively small, upstart opera company in Seattle made Wagner’s Ring Cycle - still the greatest show on earth - its signature achievement in 1975, and just as astonishingly kept at it for nearly four decades. Always call ahead to plan for companion tickets. If there are multiple performances on a Sunday, it is at the venue's discretion to decide which performance is eligible for this deal. We strongly recommend calling the box office in advance to inquire if there are TeenTix available for a given performance.Ģ for $10 Sundays: A TeenTix member may purchase a $5 ticket for themselves and for another person of any age ($10 total) for Sunday shows at this venue. TeenTix are subject to availability and often limited. The Ticket Office at McCaw Hall is located inside the building, directly through the main entrance off Mercer Street. This Ticket Office is open ONLY on performance days, two hours prior to showtime (5:30pm for evening performances beginning at 7:30pm, and 12:00pm for Sunday matinees beginning at 2:00pm). Plan your trip with the King County Online Metro Trip Planner King County Transit routes 3, 4, and 82 stop at 5th Ave. Saturday performance days: 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. With additional hours on mainstage performance days as follows: There are two separate locations for the Seattle Opera Ticket Office:ġ0:00 a.m. Policies will evolve over time in response to the pandemic. All employees, including staff & artists, will be required to follow the same protocols. Once you settle into your lawn seat, you are welcome to remove your mask for eating and drinking.Īs of August 2021, Seattle Opera is requiring masks and proof of vaccinations or negative COVID-19 testing to ensure a safe and successful return of the Seattle-area arts. Masks will be required in order to protect the youngest members of our community as well as those who are unable to be vaccinated. Wagner's larger-than-life masterpiece is brought to life by members of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra and conducted by former Music Director Ludovic Morlot.
